WRC retire number 43 in honor of Ken Block.

Ken Block, famous rally driver and creator of Gymkhana series, has passed away at age 55.

Block raced under number 43 in various championships, including WRC and World Rallycross.

In 25 WRC starts, he achieved a best result of 7th place at Rally Mexico in 2013.

4 Event wins 65 stage wins

Block narrowly missed out on US national rally championship in 2022 with 4 event wins and 65 stage wins.

In tribute to Block, the WRC has decided to retire the number 43 for the 2023 season.

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem called Block a "true legend" and said the decision was a "small gesture" to honor his memory

WRC Promoter Managing Director Jona Siebel praised Block for his ability to engage with fans and bring attention to rallying.

Tributes have poured in from the motorsport community, including WRC legend Sebastien Ogier calling Block a "visionary.
