2023  Husqvarna FC 450  Rockstar Edition First Look

by: Shawn Hensley

Husqvarna takes the FC 450 and runs it through the Technical Accessories catalog to give the FC 450 Rockstar Edition its distinct, factory finish. The extra parts from Husqvarna Technical Accessories this bike features include Factory Racing triple clamps with an adjustable offset, a Factory holeshot device, Guts Racing seat cover, ProTaper handlebar, and ODI grips, in addition to the new equipment which we will go over in later paragraphs.

Husqvarna revisited the suspension on the 2023 model to make adjustments to the shim stack settings in the WP Xact 48mm air fork and WP Xact shock. This change, Husky says, improves stability at high speed without affecting its cornering agility.

Accessories that are bold and statement making are ways to lean into fashion while busy on the go.

Centralizing weight was a key goal for last year’s engine changes. The fuel-injected liquid-cooled SOHC four-stroke 450cc powerplant carries on with its two-degree backward tilt. In order to customize the performance of the engine to suit conditions or preferences, riders still have the multifunctional switch on the handlebar. This allows the user to select between two preset engine maps, turn on/off traction control and launch control, and activate the quickshifter (QS).

The black powdercoated frame has a factory look. It is also designed to absorb energy, remain stable in a straight line, and provide feedback to the rider. The subframe targets handling, rider comfort, and durability with its polyamide/aluminum makeup and 3.9-pound claimed weight. For extra weight savings, strength, and flexibility, there’s a die-cast aluminum swingarm.

Price is now up to $12,199, where it was $11,799 previously. If you add up the new equipment, it makes the bike’s $400 MSRP increase very reasonable.
